Christmas and New Year’s Eve

The children and staff members were thrilled to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s eve at TARA Outreach Centre and in the different TARA homes.

Every child received a present from Santa Claus and their delight was clear for all to see! There was dancing and singing and a lot of candies! Children and adults alike spent a joyful end of year season together.

Thanks to all of you, the children were able to meet Santa Claus and participate in the Christmas cheer!

Volunteering with TARA, a life-changing  experience!

Read about Marie and her stint as a volunteer at TARA in 2017.
Five years later, on a recent trip back to India, Marie stopped over in Delhi to visit the children at TARA.

She tells us about her impressions and experience.

Event at the French embassy in New Delhi on Access to Education in India.

TARA organised an event at the French embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday, 11thJanuary, in the presence of Emmanuel Lenain, French Ambassador to India.

The programme aimed at raising awareness about the challenges of the education system in India and how everyone can help.

It included a photo exhibition by the photographer Romain Tauber, entitled,  Portraits of the Undefeated, showcasing children from TARA, the screening of short video clips from the series,  The Undefeated and a panel discussion.

What are the stakes and challenges in relation to education in India in the aftermath of the pandemic?  Five speakers shared their thoughts during a round table chaired by Basanti Caroline Roublin. Noorie, from TARA Girls, had the honour to participate in the panel discussion.
